Pastor Rob is married to Cathy and they have three daughters. He has previously served at churches in both Colorado and Florida. He joined the Friendship staff in July 2016.
Braveheart... I believe I sprout three more chest hairs whenever I watch this movie!
Deep and Wide by Andy Stanley. It has great insight on what the church's approach should be as we reach the lost.
"To reach people no one else is reaching, we must do things no one else is doing." - Craig Groeschel
Creating spaces for people to bump into Jesus!
Paul... He lived his life on mission. He was a great leader that multiplied himself and had a faith I want!
But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God's grace (Acts 20:24).
Chris is our Shakopee Campus Flood Co-Director (grades 7 – 8). He started attending Friendship around 2002 and has been on staff since May 2008.
Three that have really helped me understand God's character as illustrated in the Bible and what His priorities are for me would be The Upside Down Kingdom by Donald B. Kraybill, How God became King by N.T. Wright, and a chronological New Testament called The Harmony of the Gospels by Robert L. Thomas and Stanley N. Gundry combined with the Sonlife Bible Study Knowing Him. Why? Too much to say here, but in short, Jesus came to defeat the enemy and win back the Kingdom so we can enjoy Him forever!
I miss the imagination and total distortion of time. From breakfast to lunch seemed like a whole day. Then lunch to dinner was an adventure followed by my mother's, "be home before dark" statement which was license to explore what seemed like forever.
Shakopee, Minnesota, because that's where The Flood is and I know it's where God wants me right now. Otherwise, I'm thankful that I get to spend time in the Czech Republic each summer. Not for the opportunity to see Prague, which is beautiful, but for the country itself and the people there.
Past… the transfiguration of Christ in Matthew 17; to be there with Moses to see God's glory in Exodus 33; or I would want to be there with Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and the 70 elders who saw God and ate a meal with Him on the top of Mt. Sinai in Exodus 24:9-11.
The Great Barrier Reef to snorkel.
Proclaiming Gods awesome works and the amazing awesomeness of His Kingdom... and Junior High ministry.
David, because he was a "man's man," yet wrote the Psalms and had a heart for God through the failures of life.
Don't even get me started! But I like Ephesians 1 where Paul tells us that we were predestined to be adopted as sons, which always amazes me in light of freewill.
Josh is our Prior Lake Campus Flood Co-Director (grade 5). He is married to Amanda and they have two children. He has been attending Friendship since the day he was born (or the following Sunday) and became the Prior Lake Flood Director in 2010.
Marrying my amazing wife Amanda, and the birth of our beautiful daughter.
I love photography. Especially landscapes and being outdoors.
Right here in Minnesota because I love all the different seasons. Yes, even winter!
Jesus feeding the 5,000.
I would go to Hawaii, and travel all of the Hawaiian islands.
Probably Daniel. I love how he stands firm in his faith even when threatened with being thrown into a den of lions.
Neil is our Shakopee Campus Flood Co-Director (grades 7 – 8). He is married to Caitlin. Neil started attending as a baby in the nursery. He came on staff in 2012, left for a brief time on the mission field and recently joined us again.
I was dead set on becoming an NFL football player until size and talent showed me this was not God’s will for my life.
The book and movie version of The Count of Monte Cristo. It encapsulates revenge and redemption so beautifully and accurately.
Taking God at His Word by Kevin DeYoung. An awesome commentary on the sufficiency of Scripture.
Marshall McLuhan, a great media ecologist from the ‘60s who predicted the internet and sheds light on communication and advertising in a clear way.
The church family that is fully devoted to God, supporting and loving each other as Christ taught us to.
Sam is our Youth Ministry Associate. He started at Friendship as an intern in 2013 and since that time has been hired on as full time staff.
Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer. It's a short book on the attributes of God that is sure to expand your view of God.
I would have loved to walk with Jesus on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24).
"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer, Knowledge of the Holy
I would sleep in, do devotions outside by a still quiet lake, then meet up with friends and do something active, like sports, hiking or boating. After that I would have a bonfire as the sun set, and finish the night with a movie (or watching the Packers win the Super Bowl).
Gideon, I can relate to his doubts about if God can use him, and then to see God do awesome things through him and make a mighty warrior out of him.
The right combination of confidence and humility, with wisdom that comes through reading the Word, and a heart after God that is seen in a dependence on prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7, God used this verse in my life to lead me out of a life that was controlled by anxiety.
The family-like bond that is found among those who attend here, and the heart of the volunteer leaders in the youth ministry. They love the Lord and love the students in such a beautiful way!
The entire Star Wars series - always have! I am a "Star Wars geek."
I would recommend One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven by Mark Cahill. It made me realize not only how important, but how simple it is to share the gospel
Scrapbooking... I love preserving memories for generations.
I would live in southern New Mexico. Every time I have driven through there, I am drawn to everything. It's beautiful. Especially the painted rocks.
"If you want to see your friends in heaven, invite them." - Mark Cahill
Ruth... she overcame her misfortune, kept her loyalty to Naomi, and was rewarded with a good life. She was David's great-grandmother.
The more I give my stress and troubles to Him, the less stress and troubles I have.
Five great days of summer camp that teaches students to Fully Rely on God through great themes, relationships and fun.

An annual themed event giving students the opportunity to show their love and appreciation to parents. Always an enjoyable evening of food, fun and entertainment.
The Student Ministry Interns will be picking the outdoor fun (weather permitting) and leading the Bible study that follows. Grab your friends and let the games begin.
Annual flag football game.
An opportunity for students in The River to get away together to grow in their faith and grow in relationships with each other.
Students going into grades 11 and 12 meet for a Bible study, water fun and games.
Purpose: The purpose of this ministry is to provide our young adults with an opportunity to be “equipped for the work of the ministry.” Ephesians 4:12
For 12 weeks, beginning mid-May to mid-June (depending on applicants’ schedules) a maximum of two full time positions are available. Each participant will be remunerated $250 per week with all ministry costs covered. Room and board may also be available for those interns that do not live locally. Additional positions may be available for applicants that wish to raise their own support.
Equipping: The following items are areas of development and ministry that will be emphasized.
Mark 10:41-45: “When the other 10 disciples heard this, they began to be indignant with James and John. Jesus called them over and said to them, ‘You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and their men of high positions exercise power over them. But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.’” (HCSB)
