Worship

Worship

The Worship Ministry at Friendship Church is a collective of people serving in a variety of ways, seen and unseen, all to the glory of God. Anything that we do, whether on or off the platform, is not for our own sake, but for the sake of our community so that all would be drawn closer to the rightful view of who God is, develop a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and allow His Holy Spirit to lead in our everyday lives.

Vision

Love, live and serve like Jesus…by leading in true, God-centered worship.

1 Thessalonians 5:11; Proverbs 27:17; Romans 1:11-12; Colossians 3:16

Tangibles

  • We will evaluate songs for sound doctrine and seek to know why our church should sing them.
  • We will pursue excellence and authenticity by offering and receiving feedback spoken in truth and love. We will embrace regular evaluations and strive to better ourselves each day for God’s glory.
  • We will commit to community by offering time out of our rehearsals to prayer, short devotionals and growing together spiritually
  • All worship ministry team members are encouraged to be a part of a small group or in a mentor and/or an accountability relationship.

Interested in Serving?

There is a place for you to serve with the band/vocal team, as a live stream and camera operator, or running media or sound during the worship service. If you're at all interested, please email Worship Pastor, Joel Farber at or call 952- 447-0566.

The Hymn Project

Throughout 2021, we spent 12 months learning 12 hymns.

Some hymns are from ancient times. Some are from the last 10-20 years. Some hymns have a neat history that we learned about. Some have old words we don’t really use today and we learned what they mean.
