Throughout September 2025, Pastor Kenny White and Pastor Matt Clausen taught on the importance of vision and mission, while also sharing how the leadership of Friendship Church has entered into a process of seeking God’s vision for Friendship Church through 2035. As part of this vision-casting process, the Friendship Church family is being invited to become vision owners—people who 1) are excited about where we believe God is leading us, and 2) are committed to praying for the accomplishment of this vision.
By January 1, 2026, it is our desire to have 500 people of Friendship who are not merely aware of the vision but have become owners of the vision demonstrated by committing to pray for the accomplishment of the vision and inviting at least one other person to join them in prayer for this.

Vision 2035
In 1978, God placed a dream in the hearts of a small group of people to offer the soul saving, living water of Jesus to their friends and neighbors. Over the years, we have built a long-standing reputation as a pioneering church, unafraid to take faith-filled kingdom risks for the sake of getting the message of the cleansing and satisfying salvation of Jesus to those who need it. Our desire to see the lives of people who are dying from spiritual thirst refreshed by Jesus led us to open a campus in Shakopee so that we could see more disciples made in Scott County and the surrounding area.
Currently, as the metro area spreads, young families are flocking “South of the River” in search of the good life. They are buying homes, filling schedules, and chasing experiences—yet beneath it all, many are silently suffering from soul thirst that none of their pursuits can satisfy. These people are not going to be invited into discipleship by churches that are primarily focused on attracting people through a menu of church programs and a Sunday morning experience. A transformational awakening to the gospel across Scott County and the surrounding area will only become a reality through a movement of people committed to going out to make disciples of Jesus, inviting them into a soul cleansing and soul satisfying relationship with Him.
By 2035, we imagine a network of disciple-makers that have invited each person in Scott County and the surrounding area into discipleship with Jesus.
This growing network of disciple makers includes 150 missional communities. These mission-minded small groups are investing throughout the area to deliver the goodness of the gospel to every home, school, workplace, and sports field where our people live, learn, work, and play. We have four campuses with a fifth campus on the way that serve to extend the reach of our discipleship around Scott County. Eight schools have been adopted, where we have formed partnership with those who are already offering living water. We pour our time, talents, and treasure into prayer, support, and encouragement for those already making disciples in those schools, and we work alongside them to bring the message of Jesus.
Could it be possible…that a church that started with a few people seeking to offer the living water of Jesus in Scott County and the surrounding area could see this area transformed by the power of the gospel as we open more campuses, spread through more gospel communities, and seek to train each person to offer the living water to others.
We invite you to prayerfully consider joining Friendship Church as a vision owner in support of Vision 2035.
